1,600 CUM Biogas Plant, RSWK in Jharkhand
A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.
Under the Gobardhan Scheme, the Jharkhand government initiated a plan to lower the rising severe problem of cow dung waste in Gaushala at Ramgarh, Saraikela District. Daily, 500 kg of gobar waste is generated in Gaushala. No proper way to maintain it, so it keeps getting piled up, which invites many other problems such as health issues and carbon emissions.
To get a solution for these problems, the Jharkhand govt. decided to adopt a commercial biogas plant to remove this issue. The methane gas generated from this helps in lowering the carbon emissions since it is used for producing electricity, cooking gas, and fuel. The major issue also gets eliminated as no piles of cow dung waste remain there.
Powering Sustainability: Ramgarh Biogas Success Story
Watch how the Jharkhand Govt. under the GOBARdhan scheme successfully implemented a commercial biogas plant in Ramgarh, converting organic waste into clean energy and promoting sustainable development.
There are numerous issues that need to be taken care of for which many objectives and parameters are set.
01.
To improve the organic waste disposal system in the Ramgarh Gaushalas.
02.
To create an easy way for partial cuts in electricity bills and fuel costs and generate organic fertiliser.
03.
To lower the carbon emissions and protect the environment.
04.
Utlisation of cow dung waste in an effective and resourceful way.
The problems that occur with improper waste management need immediate and eco-friendly solutions.
Daily 500kg cow dung is generated, which gets wasted and becomes a huge problem due to improper disposal system.
It is common in gaushalas to have no proper cow dung management system, but it becomes a huge issue.
The dependence of the Gaushalas’ energy is on the on-grid power, which becomes a problem since the electricity bills get over-exhausted.
The implantation of the commercial biogas plant has made a huge impact in the Ramgarh Gaushalas.
The commercial biogas plant enabled structured and efficient processing of cow dung waste, reducing environmental hazards.
Electricity generation was supported through biogas, and dependence on external power sources was reduced.
Biogas slurry is being utilized as high-quality organic fertilizer, supporting sustainable agriculture.
Methane emissions are being controlled, and a cleaner environment is being promoted through renewable energy usage.
