The Haryana Government started large waste-to-energy projects in Fatehabad and Sirsa to manage around 5,000 kg of cow dung produced every day. Earlier, traditional disposal methods were not effective and increased fuel costs as well as environmental problems.
To solve this, 200 CUM commercial biogas plants were installed, which convert cattle waste into clean energy. This project has improved waste management, reduced the use of LPG and other fuels, and created a sustainable and scalable system for rural development.
