Case Study

300 CUM Biogas Plant, Bharat Agro

A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.

300 CUM Biogas Plant, Bharat Agro

Bharat Agro, operating a poultry farm with around 35,000 birds, was facing increasing challenges in handling the large quantity of poultry litter generated every day. Waste disposal was becoming difficult, while electricity and fuel expenses continued to rise. The farm also wanted to reduce its environmental impact and improve sustainability practices.

To solve these issues, a Commercial Biogas Plant with a 300 CUM capacity was installed.

The system converts poultry waste into useful biogas and organic manure, helping the farm manage waste more effectively while supporting renewable energy generation. The project was implemented with a focus on operational efficiency, long-term savings, and environmental responsibility.

300 CUM Biogas Plant

Transforming Agro Waste into Sustainable Energy

Watch how the 300 CUM Biogas Plant at Bharat Agro converts organic waste into clean and sustainable energy, helping reduce environmental impact while improving energy efficiency and waste management.

Objectives

Supporting sustainable poultry farming through effective waste-to-energy solutions.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

01.

To manage poultry litter waste in a safe and efficient manner

02.

To generate renewable energy from organic farm waste

03.

To reduce dependence on traditional fuel and electricity sources

04.

To improve environmental sustainability and waste management practices

Challenges

Handling large poultry waste volumes while controlling operational costs.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

High Poultry Waste Generation

Waste produced from 35,000 birds required proper and continuous management.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Increasing Energy Costs

Rising electricity and fuel expenses were affecting operational efficiency.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Environmental Concerns

Improper waste disposal could lead to pollution and increased carbon emissions.

Impact

Improving waste management and sustainability through a Commercial Biogas Plant.

Better Waste Handling

Poultry litter is now processed efficiently, reducing disposal-related issues.

Renewable Energy Generation

Biogas produced by the system supports part of the farm’s energy needs.

Organic Fertiliser Production

The slurry generated is being used to produce nutrient-rich organic manure.

Reduced Environmental Impact

The project helps lower carbon emissions and supports cleaner farm operations.
