250 CUM Biogas Plant, Kushwaha Poultry Farm in Bihar
A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.
250 CUM Biogas Plant, Kushwaha Poultry Farm in Bihar
Kushwaha Poultry Farm, located in Bihar, was dealing with the growing challenge of managing around 2500 kg of poultry litter waste every day. Conventional waste disposal methods were proving inefficient, and operational costs related to electricity and fuel were continuously rising. Environmental concerns, especially carbon emissions, were also increasing.
To tackle these issues, a Commercial Biogas Plant of 250 CUM capacity was installed. Through this system, poultry waste is being converted into biogas and organic manure. The solution was adopted after a trusted reference and strong word-of-mouth recommendations.
Turning Poultry Waste into Powerful Green Energy
Watch how a 250 Cum biogas plant at Kushwaha Poultry Farm in Bihar transforms poultry waste into clean energy. A real example of cost-saving, eco-friendly, and sustainable farming in action.
Objectives
Creating a scalable and eco-friendly system for waste-to-energy conversion and cost reduction.
01.
To handle large-scale poultry waste in a structured and hygienic way
02.
To generate renewable energy from organic waste sources
03.
To minimise operational expenses linked to power and fuel usage
04.
To improve farm sustainability and environmental compliance
Challenges
Addressing critical waste, cost, and environmental issues with a reliable solution.
Bulk Waste Handling Issues
Managing 2500 kg of poultry litter daily had become a major operational burden.
Increasing Energy Dependency
The farm relied heavily on external electricity and fuel, leading to higher recurring costs.
Environmental Pressure
Waste accumulation was contributing to emissions and negatively affecting the surrounding environment.
Impact
Achieving sustainable growth and operational efficiency through a Commercial Biogas Plant.
Streamlined Waste Management
Poultry waste is now being processed efficiently, reducing disposal challenges significantly.
On-Site Energy Generation
A portion of the farm’s electricity demand is being met through biogas-based power generation.
Value Creation from Waste
Biogas slurry is being utilised as high-quality organic manure, adding an additional benefit.
Lower Environmental Impact
Carbon emissions have been reduced, and a cleaner, more sustainable farm environment has been created.
