Jararudham Gau Abhyaran (MP Govt.) 85 CUM Biogas plant
A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.
Jararudham Gau Abhyaran (MP Govt.) 85 CUM Biogas plant
Jararudham Gau Abhyaran, supported by the Madhya Pradesh government, manages an extensive cattle population, generating approximately 22,000 kg of cow dung daily. Handling such a large volume of waste posed significant operational, environmental, and cost challenges. To address this, a 85 CUM large-scale biogas-based solution was implemented to convert cattle dung into renewable energy, helping reduce fuel and power costs while ensuring efficient waste management and improved sustainability.
Transforming Waste into Power: A Sustainable Biogas Success Story
Watch how the 85 CUM biogas plant at Jararudham Gau Abhyaran converts cattle waste into clean energy. A powerful example of sustainability, innovation, and efficient resource utilization by the MP Government.
Objectives
Enabling large-scale waste utilisation and cost optimisation through renewable energy solutions.
01.
To manage extremely high volumes of cattle dung efficiently.
02.
To generate renewable energy for power and cooking needs.
03.
To reduce dependency on conventional fuels and electricity.
04.
To implement a sustainable and scalable waste management system.
Challenges
Addressing large-scale waste handling, energy dependency, and operational inefficiencies.
Massive Dung Generation
Daily generation of around 22,000 kg of cow dung required robust and continuous processing.
Waste Management Complexity
Handling and disposing of such large quantities posed logistical and hygiene challenges.
High Energy Costs
Dependence on conventional fuels and electricity increased operational expenses.
Impact
Delivering large-scale efficiency, cost savings, and sustainable energy generation.
Effective Waste Management
High volumes of cattle dung are efficiently processed, eliminating disposal issues.
Reduced Fuel & Power Costs
Biogas utilisation lowers dependency on external energy sources.
Renewable Energy Generation
Clean energy is produced for daily operational needs.
Sustainable Gaushala Operations
Adoption of biogas technology supports a self-sufficient and eco-friendly ecosystem.
