Indian Institute of Petroleum10 CUM biogas plan Uttarakhand
A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.
Indian Institute of Petroleum10 CUM biogas plan Uttarakhand
The Indian Institute of Petroleum (Revamping), Uttarakhand, is an research centre that wanted to build a solution to increase the range of energy for which they collected cow dung waste and used it for generating energy.
They required an immediate solution to address these issues. A commercial biogas plant of 10 CUM capacity got installed. Through this initiative, the organic waste is being transformed into renewable energy. While environmental impact is being significantly reduced. The project was initiated through trusted references and word of mouth, ensuring reliability and confidence in execution.
Indian Institute of Petroleum 10 CUM Biogas Plant Revamping
This project involved the revamping of a 10 CUM biogas plant at the Indian Institute of Petroleum to enhance performance and efficiency. The upgraded system improves organic waste processing, increases biogas output, and supports sustainable energy generation with optimized plant operations.
Objectives
To overcome a Commercial Biogas Plant to enable efficient waste to energy conversion for sustainable operations.
01.
To manage cow dung waste in an eco-friendly and efficient manner
02.
To install a Commercial Biogas Plant for renewable energy generation
03.
To reduce electricity and fuel costs through in-house energy production
04.
To lower carbon emissions and promote sustainable practices
Challenges
Addressing the waste management and energy concerns through installing a biogas plant
Rising Carbon Emissions
Traditional waste handling methods were contributing to increased carbon emissions and environmental degradation.
High Energy and Fuel Costs
Operational expenses were rising due to dependence on conventional electricity and fuel sources.
Need for Sustainable Revamping
A modern, eco-friendly solution was required to upgrade existing systems without disrupting operations.
Impact
A Commercial Biogas Plant provides an immediate and eco-friendly solution to them.
90%
Lowers Carbon Emissions
By reduction in electricity bills and fuel costs helps in lowering the carbon emissions.
100%
Effective Use of Cow Dung
The use of 250kg Cow dung is done properly by generating Gobar Gas.
5X
Free Energy Consumption
The energy generated by the commercial biogas plant is used efficiently and is free.
100%
Generating Organic Manure
The leftover slurry is treated as organic fertiliser which can be sold at market prices.
