Govansh Aashray 30 CUM commercial biogas plant

A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.

Govansh Aashray 30 CUM commercial biogas plant

Govansh Aashray, located in Uttar Pradesh, generates around 750 kg of cow dung every day, which creates problems in waste management and increases dependence on fuel. To solve this, a 30 CUM commercial biogas plant was installed, which converts cattle waste into clean energy. This system helps improve dung management, reduces carbon emissions, and lowers the use of LPG and other traditional fuels, supporting a more sustainable and efficient gaushala operation.

Turning Waste into Power: Real Impact of a 30 CUM Biogas Plant

Watch how the Govansh Aashray 30 CUM biogas plant converts cattle waste into clean energy. This real case study highlights sustainable waste management, renewable energy generation, and environmental benefits in action.

Objectives

Improving efficiency by converting moderate-scale waste into reliable and sustainable energy.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

01.

To manage 750 kg of daily cow dung in a hygienic and structured manner.

02.

To manage 750 kg of daily cow dung in a hygienic and structured manner.

03.

To reduce dependency on LPG and traditional fuel resources.

04.

To reduce environmental impact from unmanaged waste.

Challenges

Addressing operational inefficiencies and environmental concerns at a moderate waste scale.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Daily Waste Handling Pressure

Continuous generation of dung required regular and efficient processing.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Limited Resource Utilisation

Available cattle waste was not being converted into useful energy.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Emission & Hygiene Concerns

Open dumping led to foul odour, methane emissions, and sanitation issues.

Impact

Enhancing operational efficiency through waste conversion, cost savings, and cleaner practices.

Optimised Waste Utilisation

Daily dung is converted into biogas, eliminating disposal challenges.

Reduced Fuel Costs

Lower dependence on LPG results in consistent savings.

Cleaner Environment

Improved hygiene and reduced emissions within the gaushala premises.

Sustainable Operations

Biogas adoption supports a self-reliant and eco-friendly system.
