1,600 CUM Biogas Plant, RSWK in Jharkhand
A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.
Rawat Breeding Farm, situated in Dehradun, had approximately 15,000 birds. Gradually, managing the poultry litter had become a major issue, with no proper system for discarding it, leading to many disadvantages. The environment of the farm turned unhealthy and unhygienic for the birds and the farmers working there. Poultry litter management got really unmanageable at a point. Rawat Breeding Farm needed an eco-friendly solution.
Through online research, Koshish Sustainable Solutions Pvt. Ltd. was selected to be the ideal solution service provider for their problem. Subsequently, a commercial biogas plant of 150 CUM. Turning litter waste into renewable energy for power generation of their own. It also has more merits than just generating renewable energy. It cuts the power generation problem, produces slurry (organic fertilizer), curbs the carbon emissions, and maintains the hygiene and health of the birds.
Transforming Waste into Energy: 150 CUM Biogas Success Story
Discover how a 150 CUM biogas plant at Rawat Breeding Farms, Dehradun converts organic waste into clean energy. This case study highlights sustainable farming, cost savings, and eco-friendly innovation in action.
With many problems faced, Rawat Breeding Farm required a solution through which the objectives could be effectively achieved.
01.
To streamline the poultry litter management process to scrap the litter waste and maintain the health and hygiene of the birds.
02.

Lastly, to manage the rising power generation costs and other conventional fuel costs.
There were several obstacles that they faced while searching for the perfect sustainable solution.
The poultry litter waste had been left untreated on the farm, which piled up and eventually became an issue.
They need to depend on grid power and other conventional fuels for their operational expenses.
With no proper management of the poultry waste, the environment was polluted, which eventually increased their carbon footprint.
The commercial biogas plant made a huge impact on the poultry litter management procedure.
The Commercial Biogas Plant gave a huge relief in handling and managing the poultry waste.
As a result, they could generate their own electricity and partially got relief in the electricity bill.
Moreover, the building of the commercial biogas plant led to a substantial reduction in its carbon emissions.
Switching to a commercial biogas plant had resolved all their problems. From litter management to cost cut in the power generation.
