700 CUM Biogas Plant, Sneha Poultry in Assam

A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.

700 CUM Biogas Plant, Sneha Poultry in Assam

Sneha Poultry, located in Assam, operates a poultry farm with around 75,000 birds. Managing the large quantity of poultry litter generated daily had become a major challenge for the farm. Increasing electricity and fuel costs were also affecting operational efficiency, while concerns about environmental pollution continued to grow. To address these issues, a Commercial Biogas Plant with a 700 CUM capacity was installed.

The system converts poultry waste into clean biogas and organic manure, helping improve waste management, reduce operational costs, support renewable energy generation, and promote sustainable poultry farming practices.

Challenges

Addressing operational, environmental, and waste management challenges in large-scale poultry farming.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Heavy Daily Waste Load

Managing poultry litter from 75,000 birds required a continuous and organised treatment system.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Storage and Disposal Issues

Traditional waste handling methods were taking up space and creating management difficulties.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

High Dependence on Conventional Energy

Daily farm operations relied heavily on electricity and fuel, increasing costs.

Impact

Delivering improved efficiency and sustainability through a Commercial Biogas Plant.

Better Utilisation of Poultry Waste

Waste is now being converted into useful biogas and organic by-products.

Reduced Waste Disposal Problems

Regular waste processing has lowered the burden of waste storage and handling.

Support for Clean Energy Usage

Biogas generation has helped introduce renewable energy into daily farm operations.

Improved Sustainability Practices

The project has strengthened environmentally responsible and resource-efficient farming methods.
