Venco Research and Breeding Farms, located in Dehradun, faced a critical challenge in managing poultry waste generated from approximately 30,000 birds. A large volume of poultry litter was produced daily, raising environmental concerns and increasing operational costs. Increased carbon emissions, along with high electricity and fuel costs, further burdened the economy.
To address these issues, a Commercial Biogas Plant of 300 CUM capacity was adopted. The system was implemented to convert poultry waste into clean energy and organic manure. Through this sustainable solution, waste was efficiently managed, and valuable resources were recovered.

Large-scale poultry production from 40,000 birds generated continuous waste, making disposal difficult and inefficient.
Improper handling of poultry waste was increasing carbon emissions and negatively affecting the surrounding environment.
