Tezpur University 50 CUM commercial biogas plant

A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.

Tezpur University 50 CUM commercial biogas plant

Tezpur University, located in Assam, initially relied on a composting machine to manage food waste generated from its kitchen and hostel facilities. However, with a growing student population, food waste volumes increased significantly, making the existing system inadequate. To address this challenge, the university adopted a more efficient and scalable solution. A 50 CUM commercial biogas plant, installed by Koshish Sustainable Solutions Pvt Ltd, now converts food waste into clean biogas for cooking, reducing dependency on commercial LPG. The by-product slurry is further utilised as nutrient-rich organic manure for campus gardens.
