Case Study

Thekra Gaushala Masalpur 85 CUM commercial biogas plant

A 5kW residential solar solution installed for Rekha Pathak in Ghaziabad to power a sustainable home.

Thekra Gaushala Masalpur 85 CUM commercial biogas plant

Thekra Gaushala Masalpur, located in Rajasthan, was managing approximately 2,200 kg of cow dung daily, creating challenges in waste handling, emissions, and fuel dependency. To address these issues, an 85 CUM commercial biogas plant was implemented. The system converts cattle dung into clean biogas, helping the gaushala reduce carbon emissions, lower LPG consumption, and improve overall operational efficiency through a sustainable waste-to-energy approach.

From Waste to Energy: Real Impact at Thekra Gaushala

Watch how the 85 CUM commercial biogas plant at Thekra Gaushala Masalpur converts organic waste into clean energy. A powerful example of sustainability, innovation, and rural development in action.

Objectives

Enhancing resource efficiency by transforming high-volume waste into renewable energy.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

01.

To manage large quantities of cow dung in an organised and efficient manner.

02.

To reduce dependence on LPG and conventional fuel sources.

03.

To minimise environmental impact from untreated organic waste.

04.

To implement a long-term, sustainable waste-to-energy solution.

Challenges

Tackling large-scale waste handling inefficiencies and reducing environmental and cost pressures.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Continuous Waste Flow

Daily generation of 2,200 kg dung required uninterrupted processing and management.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Space & Storage Constraints

Accumulation of dung created challenges in storage and handling within the premises.

Koshish Sustainable Solutions

Emission Risks

Open decomposition led to methane release and environmental concerns.

Impact

Creating measurable improvements through energy recovery, emission reduction, and operational efficiency.

Streamlined Waste Processing

Daily dung is efficiently converted into biogas, eliminating accumulation issues.

Fuel Cost Optimisation

Reduced LPG usage leads to significant cost savings.

Lower Environmental Impact

Controlled digestion reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

Improved Resource Utilisation

Waste is transformed into energy, supporting a circular and self-sustaining system.
